I wish to further continue my commitment to the College by running for the Vice Speaker, HODSC position at CAP in October 2022. 

 

I will bring my experience of 28 plus years as a Community hospital-based laboratory medical director and pathologist practicing in the greater Boston area.

 

I want to continue my service to the HODSC after my term as Member at Large (2 years) and Sargent of Arms (2 years). 

 

I have been a House of Delegates member since 2008 and have been chair of the Massachusetts Delegation since 2017.

WHAT WILL I BRING AS VICE SPEAKER?

  • Perspective of a Hospital based Community Pathologist 

    • Chief – 8 years

    • Medical Director – 12 years

    • Associate Pathologist 8 years  

    • 28-yr Hospital based community pathologist perspective (Chief for 8 yrs and Medical Director for 10 yrs plus)

  • Deep Knowledge of CAP Councils, committees, HOD, and working groups (32 years); Invested in improving Digital capabilities of CAP

 

  • Can connect with people, build consensus and trust; strive to be an excellent communicator of pathology issues to CMS and Congress

 

  • Experience as Chair of MA delegation (3 years) and executive committee member of state path society (3 years) will help develop strategies to strengthen state pathology societies 

 

  • CAP Foundation can benefit from 25-year experience of building and running a successful pathology non-profit, 501©3 organization

 

  • Focused on Diversity, inclusion and equity initiative of CAP as a working mother, foreign medical graduate and person of color
